Disruptive Africa is partnering with one of the world’s leading technology leaders, innovation enablers and knowledge thinkers, Prof Ndubuisi Ekekwe of Fasmicro Group, to run an innovation workshop with specific focus on growth and execution, across industrial sectors, in 2018 Disruptive Africa. Through this workshop, participants will experience and master key nexus on innovation and growth from an entrepreneur, academic and advisor to leading global CEOs. Dr Ekekwe holds two doctoral and four master’s degrees including a PhD from the Johns Hopkins University and BEng EEE from FUTO (Owerri).
Prof Ekekwe writes regularly in the Harvard Business Review (HBR) where he focuses on technology, business, innovation and Africa. He is a TED Fellow, World Economic Forum Young Global Leader and was one of the designers that engineered a generational accelerometer for the iPhone.
The ITNews Africa, a South African publisher, has called him a “doctor of innovation“. The London-based Planet Earth Institute, a non-profit chaired by a former UK Chief Secretary to the Treasury, has recognized him as an “African science and technology pioneer”. In July 2018, CNBC nominated him for its highly respected “Innovator of he Year” award.
To innovate is to set a new basis of competition in an economy, business sector or market. Typically, it results to disruption. This workshop will focus on innovation and growth because growth is the reward of innovation. Otherwise, that innovation is actually an invention. Prof Ekekwe would be the lead instructor supported by his team. The table below provides the workshop structure.
