Nigeria’s lead for MTN Group Transformation programme (IGNITE): A holistic transformation programme, with intent to shape the future of MTN, by proactively introducing specific measures to help accelerate the company’s business and financial performance. These measures will make the organisation more agile, and the business more sustainable, efficient, innovative and profitable.

-Leading enterprise-wide execution of the Transformation project : end-to-end business transformation initiative for business differentiation, sustainable market leadership, process optimization, network/infrastructure leverage, revenue growth and cost-reduction.

-Exploring new frontiers of growth in advanced data analytics/data science/big data for telcos and related non-telcos – Monetization of network analytics for revenue and customer lifecycle growth

-Driving strategic initiatives and new business acquisition – strategy development, go-to-market and stakeholder engagement of a new business acquisition.

Adekanmbi, an alumnus of INSEAD Business School started his career in core Analytics as a DNA/Biomolecular Research Statistician/Perl programmer, Data Analyst/Planner and Head of Consumer Insight/Data Planning. These roles equipped him to lead enterprise CRM strategy, Segmentation analysis, Customer lifetime valuation, Data mining etc.

Bayo was with DDB Lagos as the Head of Strategy and Intelligence, where he consulted for MTN and other leading Nigerian companies on Business Strategy, Brand Analytics and Go-to-Market Implementation.

He later joined the MTN Group in South Africa where he was responsible for global brand strategy, customer insight and Analytics support for its 21 operations.

Bayo qualified as a Chartered Marketer of South Africa (CMSA) through SETA/University of Wits Business School, Johannesburg, South Africa. He is also a certified SAS Data Programmer/Statistical Analyst and a proud alumnus of the University of Reading Postgraduate School, UK, where he graduated with Distinction. He also attended executive education at INSEAD Business School, France, Columbia Business School, New York and Telecoms Training Institute, London.

Bayo combines multi-disciplinary competencies as a Brand /Marketing Strategist, Consumer Insight Data Analyst and Business Intelligence professional. Bayo has 14-year experience on leading brands in Nigerian and MEA region, and combines strategic and operational skills in Business Intelligence, Data mining/Predictive modeling, Consumer Insight/Marketing Research, Database marketing/ CRM, Marketing ROI/Analytics, Geomarketing and Marketing Strategy.
